   Etna goes with us almost everywhere... No trip, holiday, vacation, even skiing can not go without her. At the beginning we were suspicious about Boxer's ability for hiking and tracking on a rocky soil in Karst landscape and in the mountains, but it turned out to be absolutelly needless. As a puppy Etna was carried in a nap most of the way uphill and downhill, as she grew she started going more and more on her own. Today she is fearless, agile as a mountain goat and she is always leading the way ahead of us. Etna is in prime condition, she can hike for a hole day and before dark when we settle she is still in a mood for playing and bringing sticks. Very few Boxers have a privilage to go on so many natural places  and live such a rich and fulfilled life.

We are very proud of Etna. She makes our lives better.

While hiking with Etna we always stick to our hiking rules:

Etna is never let out of our site.

While hiking Etna is always free, on leash only when it is absolutelly necessarily.

Etna never runs after animals we meet on our hiking trips (deer, rabbit, birds, horses, ibexes ...).

In order not to disturb wildlife we avoid hiking in birds nesting and animals nursing areas during their reproduction season.

We  always take enought water for Etna, we make breaks often and never push Etna up to her limits.
